Faerie Gazette
December 4, 2012.
Hey there, readers!
I've recently had an interview with Bilbo, the hobbit. Bilbo is of the "hobbits" a race which are only half the size of humans. They also have very VERY hairy feet. He lives in the quaint community called Hobbiton, but lately he's been up to more than just sitting on his front porch, smoking his pipe.
So, we went to find him. He was, again, finally, at his hobbit hole.
Hello, Bilbo. I'm Sara, from the Faerie Gazette. Would you mind answering a few questions for me?
"Sure. I wouldn't mind a bit. Come on in and have a cup of tea. Do you smoke? Would you like to smoke with me?"
No thank you, tea would be nice though.
Bilbo's home (or Hobbit Hole, for that matter.) was very cozy. The ceilings were low, so I had to crouch to walk, but it was a comfortable home for someone who's three feet tall, I'm sure!
So, Bilbo, what was your Journey like? Was it scary at first?
"I was intimidated at first. I'm not a very adventurous person, so when a man comes to my door ans tells me to be his "thief", you don't just want to go ahead right away. I'm not a thief, I stay at home and smoke my pipe and watch the day pass by. Of course I was scared."
What was your favorite part of the journey for you?
"I enjoyed finding the Ring and being able to be invisible whenever I want. Can you imagine how many people you can save by getting past guards? I also like my sword... 'Tis my precioussss..."
What about the Battle of Five Armies? I heard that was intense.
Well, Bilbo, thank you so much for your time. And the tea, it's delicious!
And with that, I conclude my report. I think Bilbo is a very nice Hobbit (man?). Talk to you guys next week!
